VIDEO ADVERTS PRE-PRODUCTION

 1) Create TWO scripts for your two different adverts 1st advert: HOME - AFTERNOON - PREPARE Slow, over the shoulder, chill - a teen is preparing, preparing, preparing - grabbed drink, a hair tie, brush. -  And then she started playing music. Dance. Ahead of her: A camera. A good distance away, filming herself. And the teen started dancing, could almost break the house. She walked towards the camera. Gets close. Panting. Watches the video.  Holds out her hand. Reaches for the drink. Opens. Drinks... After drinking -  "Stay healthy, so you won't need a Dr" 2nd advert: HOME - AFTERNOON - EATING Stable, steady, calm - a teen is eating, eating, eating - grabbed fries, ketchup, mayo -  And then she stopped moving. STATEMENT OF INTENT

I will be using Dr Witt for my TV advert production of a healthy drink  as it is a mixture of different types of fruits and vitamins which promotes a healthy lifestyle and improves well-being. My slogan will be "Stay healthy so you won't need a Dr". My adverts are aimed at teenagers and young adults, who are aged between 15 and 30. My adverts will be broadcast on mainstream commercial TV channels and streaming services. I plan to meet the brief by advertising using a teen who has the same interests as the others for Blumler & Katz Uses and Gratifications. For advert one , I chose a narrative of the teen drinking Dr Witt after dancing because it lets the audience know that they should maintain their health after doing something to ensure that they are taking in a balance and healthy diet. As for my second advert narrative, I chose a character eating junk food, this is to convey to the audience how bad it can get if teenagers always eat junk food, but to equalise ...

Preliminary exercise feedback and learner response

Create a new blogpost called ‘Preliminary exercise feedback and learner response’ and then copy in the feedback below. Complete the learner response task below the feedback.   WWW: Planning posted, and a 40-second preliminary exercise posted by the deadline – well done! You’ve got some strong editing moments such as when you cut to the close-up of the drink being taken off the fridge shelf. The establishing shot and the over-the-shoulder shots when you track the character’s movement when they are walking to the fridge and heading to the park give a good perspective of the character’s journey. Effective use of diegetic and non-diegetic sound included in your advert. Now you need to use this experience and your editing skills to deliver two excellent 40+ second adverts that meet the brief.   EBI: Think about the pack shot when your character is dancing – ensure the whole product is shown for your pack shot (part of the drink name is cut off). The audio for when th...

COURSEWORK PRELIMINARY EXERCISE

  1) Write a 100 word statement of intent explaining what you are going to make for your preliminary exercise. Statement of intent: 100 words explaining what you plan to make. I plan to make a 30-40 second advert about a teen who's hobby is dancing and always drinks a healthy drink to maintain fitness and achieve their goals while ensuring that they are taking care of themselves properly. The beginning of the advert will be a video of the character taking the healthy drink out of the refrigerator and then drinking it before going out to the park and then practising a dance. My character will be in a sports clothes that will match the mood of the idea that she is dancing. In addition, to match the idea of how the drink can give her energy and to make her focus. 2) Write a script for your preliminary exercise on your blog.
