2) Now go to page 3 of the Media Pack - celebrity focus. What does the page say that Heat offers readers?
Heat ensure that their readers are always updated with all the gossips they can talk about when making conversations.

3) Now look at page 4 of the Heat Media Pack. What other content does Heat magazine offer its readers aside from celebrity news?
Heat Media Pack offers fashion, lifestyle and life hack advice for heat readers.

4) Look at page 5. What is Heat magazine's audience profile? Write all the key details of their audience here.

Media language

1) How are the cover lines written to make the audience want to buy the magazine?
The cover lines are written in sans serif to let the audience know that they are being friendly.

2) What are the connotations of the Heat colour scheme on this particular front cover?
Pink, yellow, and red connotes friendly, informal, and that they stand out, and it's also feminine.

3) How are images used to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. paparazzi images or aspects of mise-en-scene such props, costume, make-up, body position, facial expression etc.)
Images are used by using paparazzi images to show that they are also normal people. To show that the audience can also relate to the person's in the magazine. To show The magazine only uses first names, which connotes that the audience already know who the issue is talking about and they want the latest issue.

4) What differences can you find between the use of design and typography between Tatler and Heat? List at least three differences and explain the effect on audiences.
Tatler magazine uses serif fonts which makes the audience feel pressure because it's targeted to audience who's higher class, whereas heat magazine uses sans serif font to make the audience feel friendly. Tatler uses an image where the model is wearing a gown/ dress to show that they are elegant, however heat uses paparazzi to make the magazine more modern and informal. Tatler offers issue about the royal family and other people's who has a position which makes the audience feel like it's illegal to even look at the magazine, oppositely to heat, because heat offers gossips where the audience already know who it is.

They are shown negatively, because it shows their other side.

3) How are women represented on the cover of Heat? Think about both images and cover lines here.
Women are represented as only interested in fashions, gossip, and relationships.

4) How do Heat and Tatler represent social class? What different social classes can you find in the features and celebrities on the cover? (E.g. middle/upper class / working class)
Heat represent social class as a safe place where everyone are in the same level. Tatler represents social class as a place where they need to follow rules to be someone.
