BLOG TASK: CAMERA SHOTS AND ANGLES

 1. Three camera shots:

-The Establishing Shot at 0:51 shows the audience that Sarah Jane live alone, it also shows us that she have her own business to deal with, it also shows the audience that she's a some kind of journalist or some kind of detective as she have loads of electronic device. However these establishing shot might connotate that someone is in the scene, or someone might be behind her. This will make the audience feel confused about what really is happening, especially to the audiences who have seen a lot of movies because some directors produce a lot of calm scene and then there's that scene where the camera's set behind you and suddenly someone's behind you.

-The Medium Close Up at 1:26 shows us that Sarah Jane knows a lot about volume or she's doing something that relates to the outside world, it also shows us that she have a lot going on in these scene because of how many screens are open in her desk. This will make the audience feel safe towards her, and that the audience will have hope.

-The Close Up at 2:31 shows the audience that Sarah Jane is worried of what's about to come what the future will be, we can see these in her eyes. Her eyes are a bit reddish and she looks like she's about to cry. This makes the audience feel like they just want to pray for her, and hope that nothing bad will happen, the audience could also feel like they want to just jump into the TV and help them.

2. The Low Angle at 3:31 shows us that something is bigger than him in that room as he's looking up, and the way he's kind of smiling shows the audience that he's amazed. This makes the audience feel like something is coming up, like the guys are planning to do something, or to change something for the future.

3. Mis-en-scene: The props shows different kinds of technology used in this scene, like how the computers shows different kinds of like records, and the hose thing that sparks with electric current that the guy connects to the like a tall pole, shows the audience and it's a sci-fi related. This makes the audience feel intense because of also the sound.

Extension:

Over the shoulder shots at 4:39 where Mike and Will were talking, this shows the audience that they are close, because of how Will's willing to  stay behind a little even if it's night, and let Mike know that the monster got him. The High Angle shot at 8:10 shows the audience that even though Will acted all matured enough to lock the doors and knew how to use the gun he's still a child, home alone, needs help and terrified.
