I think this  text encourages people to take a deeper look in this text. The costumes within this text shows scientific fiction. This is shown when the iron man suits where shown, it looks like it's on a laboratory, the text shows loads of technology. The lighting shows both high key lighting and low key lighting when villains are shown, there are also part where the colors (red) are bright, which shows power and love. The actor placement/ movement shows confidence, which links to the text "Iron man 3'' the word 'iron' suggests hard, complicated, and unfathomable. It is also shown that the guy who's character is iron man looks scrumptious, but there are also some bits of the text were iron man was all beaten up, which suggests that he isn't the guy we expect him to be, it could also suggest that not all of us are perfect. There are some parts of the setting were they are on a city, abandoned place, and laboratory, which suggests that there will be a lot of chaos in this text. For the props, there are explosions, cars, high tech costume, which links to all what we said for the other scenes.


Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer

I think this text encourages people to give meaning to something they think is not to be treasured. The costume and makeup shows different kinds of meaning such as adventurer clothes, which has connotations of traveling, the other makeup had bruise and scars, which has connotations of battle and war. The lighting and color shows high key lighting when the character is speaking, there are also parts of the sky juxtaposed with small settlements, which has a connotation of madness of disruption. The actor placement/ movement have violence, running, and relationships, which links to the other scene. The setting looks like it's wild west, and from 1800's. 


Stranger Things

I think this text more encourages teens as the characters are all around teens age. The costume of the odd girl are baggy, which has connotations that it's not her/ she stole it from someone, the makeup shows weirdness as the girl have shaved head, which has connotations of rebellion, devotion, and mental break. The lighting are day time, which has connotations that it's not horror, the color are all natural, which has connotation of usual day. In the actor placement/ movement there are running and manipulation, which has connotations to science fiction. The setting's in a usual village/ houses, and the props, like walkie talkie, bags, and caps has connotations that they are in the 1800's and on a mission.


Nike Advert

This text encourages people to buy from Nike as they show support for peoples doings. The costume which is the jersey, uniform, boxing gloves, has connotations that Nike is all over the place. The lighting shows bright/ neon, low key lighting, most of the advert are filmed night time, which has connotations that Nike's telling the audience that if they buy from them they'll shine. The actor placement/ movement shows that they're having fun and have confidence, this has the connotations that Nike is telling us that whatever your dream is, you should walk through the storm first before you claim it. The settings are also around the place . . .school, street, convenience store, ocean, and stadium.

RECEPTION THEORY

1) The preferred reading of a media text is what the media wants the audience to see in a positive way. 2) The oppositional reading of media text is what the media doesn't want the audience to see. 3)  The trailer wants the audience to think that all kids are rebellion and they like to disobey their parents. It also wants the audience to think that teens are more likely to form a gang and that they like violence. 4) Young people reject this reading and construct an oppositional reading of the trailer because not all young kids are as bad as them, and some other kids do have a plan for their future, it's just they find happiness through friends and social media.
