DENOTATION AND CONNOTATION
Point: The producer of the advert (Water Aid) is trying to convey the message that these people doesn't have the same lives as other people, as these people doesn't have enough supply for their home. The producer of the advert is also trying to convey the message that these peoples can possibly have disease from the environment around them and from how they live life. Evidence: They do this by creating the slogan "Dig toilets Not graves" which means these individuals doesn't have a toilet, they just do their business wherever they want. As these goes on things they let out can mix with what they drink and eat. The background shows that the kid is from a hot country. The look of the kid looks disappointed and looks a little miserable. Since Water Aid made an advert about these individuals these means that they need a clean supply of water.
